Business failure: banks and airports are not functioning

In particular, Windows operating systems reported problems. The London Stock Exchange was shut down due to a cyber incident. Several major US airlines have suspended flights, including Delta, United and American, Frontier, Allegiant and SunCountry. Turkish Airlines also suspended flights.

In addition, Berlin Brandenburg Airport stopped operating due to technical problems. Airport systems in Spain, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and other countries are also inoperable.

British TV channel SkyNews has been disconnected from the internet due to a global blackout.

Thousands of Microsoft users around the world are experiencing a “blue screen of death” – a system message about a serious malfunction, The Verge reported. Preliminary data shows that the malfunction was caused by an update prepared by cybersecurity software company Crowdstrike.

Bloomberg wrote that banks and airlines around the world were operating intermittently after Microsoft reported the outage.

“Current status: We are continuing to work to resolve the impact on the affected Microsoft 365 applications and services. Impact: This issue could affect any user attempting to use various Microsoft 365 applications and services,” Microsoft said in a statement.

Meanwhile, co-founder of Ukraine’s Single Bank Oleg Gorokhovsky Indicates that there has been a global IT outage related to the interaction between Crowdstrike antivirus software and Windows.

“A lot of companies were wiped out,” Gorokhovsky noted.
