Bulawayo youths stop Mnangagwa from continuing his reign – ZimEye

Political Reporter – The Zimbabwe African National Union (ZANU-PF) Bulawayo Youth League does not approve of President Mnangagwa running for a third term.

The Youth League said Mnangagwa should withdraw his decision not to seek re-election when his term expires in 2028.

Freedom Murechu, provincial chairperson of the Youth League, said:

“As the youth league in Bulawayo, we have tabled several resolutions and requested our national youth secretary, Tino Machakele, to forward them to the president.
“The main thing is that we are impressed by the developments that President Mnangagwa has achieved in the country. We implore him to realise his Vision 2030 and continue to develop the country until he accomplishes the goals he has set,” said Murechu.
“We have also decided that in honour of the late Vice President Dr Joshua Nkomo, we call on the President to make the day on which Vice President Nkomo died a national holiday,” Murechu said.
