All indices fell at the opening of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) on Friday, with turnover reaching RON 5.47 million (EUR 1.09 million) 35 minutes after the start of trading. The main BET index showing the 20 most liquid companies fell by 0.41%, while the BET-Plus index showing the 43 most liquid stocks on the BSE fell by 0.41%. Meanwhile, the BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid blue-chip stocks fell by 0.40%, while the performance benchmark for investment funds, BET-BK, fell by 0.38%.
The SIF’s BET-FI index fell 0.14%, while the BET-NG index of 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector fell 0.05%. According to BVB data, the biggest gains in stock value were in ElectroMagnetica (+9.52%), Transilvania Broker de Asigurare (+2.55%) and Ropharma (+1.63%). On the other hand, the shares of Condmag (-8.33%), Energopetrol (-6.02%) and Antibiotice (-2.39%) are declining.
