Private sources have revealed to Asharq Al-Awsat that the Riyadh club has reached a final agreement to sign French defender Yoann Barbet.
The defender’s contract was cancelled by French club Bordeaux after the club declared bankruptcy last month, making the 31-year-old a free agent.
The French player, who previously played for English club Brentford and English club QBR, will sign a one-year contract with the Riyadh club, the same source confirmed.
Sources confirmed that the agreed deal now depends on the approval of the Financial Sustainability Committee, which is to be announced soon.
