The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Elizabeth Galdo, reported that work has begun on the renovation of the new Plaza de Armas in Pucallpa, in the Ucayali region. This is an effort carried out through the National Copesco Program, for the benefit of citizens and tourists in this important region of central and eastern Peru.
The intervention will include the renovation of the central swimming pool and an additional swimming pool, in addition to the installation of new lighting, benches, pergolas, trash cans, green areas, signage, air conditioning and floor improvements. The renovation area covers 9,098.38 square meters and the investment is more than S$2 million.
It is worth noting that the works are expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of this year. The construction is being carried out by Plaza 241 Consortium, the winner of the public tender.
As you know, Pucallpa is a city that combines modernity with nature. It has various attractions full of vegetation and culture that enhance the Amazon spirit. Therefore, these works are very important and are carried out within the framework.
“The government has a strong commitment to Pucallpa. A clear example is the inauguration a few weeks ago of the Malecón del Lago Yarinacocha tourism mega project. We will continue to work to provide better conditions for citizens and tourists to visit this beautiful city. This work is being carried out within the framework of Peru’s third presidency of the APEC Forum in 2024,” stressed Minister Elizabeth Galdo.
