By adopting this alternative, the financial institution aims to enable its users to carry out contactless transactions in a faster and safer way, considering that they do not have to hand over payment credentials, touch physical buttons or exchange cash.

To make a transaction, customers simply hold their iPhone or Apple Watch close to the payment terminal. Every purchase will be authenticated via Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcodeand a dynamic code unique to each transaction.
To further ensure user security and privacy, card information is not stored on your computer or on Apple servers. Instead, a unique device account number is assigned.

César Prado, president of the Bank of Bogotá, said that by integrating this alternative, the entity aims to improve processes and continue to innovate and Facilitate payments in a flexible, secure and digital way.
Apple Pay is accepted in supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, cafes, retail stores and many more businesses. To configure it, users simply open the Wallet app, select + and follow the steps to add Banco de Bogota Visa credit and debit cards.
After the user adds the card to the iPhone or Apple Watchyou can start using the tool right away.
