The body of three-year-old girl Aya Sofia, who went missing four months ago, was found in the Almaty region. Local farmers found the child’s body while cutting grass.

A suspect in connection with the incident was also arrested. According to neighbors, he was handcuffed — The child’s biological mother and her lover. Police have not yet released information about how and why Aya Sofia died.
The incident took place on March 17 in the village of Kush in the Embekshkazak district. At noon, three-year-old Aya Sofia left home and never returned. Soldiers, police and volunteers could not find him. At present, the suspect has not spoken. Four months later, the child’s body was found.

— Police in the Embekshkazak district of the Almaty region received a report of the discovery of human remains. The bones were sent for forensic and genetic examination. They are said to belong to a three-year-old girl who went missing in the village of Kush in March.
