In the past few years, a committee has been formed to look into irregularities during the national entrance exams, which will prepare a report based on which it is decided which students will be debarred from the exams due to irregularities.
In addition, for the first time, each of the 10 teaching subjects of the state entrance examination will have a committee whose task is to evaluate the exam itself, that is, to find the transcript, that is, the same parts of the test as the prescription certificate.
This was decided by the Director and DIC Head at a meeting of experts at the National Examination Centre today.
Director Biljana Mihajlovska told MIA that they have already decided on several steps, which they will take immediately or during the evaluation process, that is, until the end of the graduation deadline in June and the publication of the results.
As he said, a committee based on available evidence recommended cancellation of exams for specific students who violated the rules, including those using mobile phones.
“First, we are forming a committee of DIC employees, which will confirm the cancellation of the exam based on violations during the exam. The committee reviewed the protocol and concluded that a specific tester removed a student for violating the rules. Based on the report, we made a decision that the committee proposed to cancel the exam,” he wrote in a report.
He pointed out that such committees are held every year, but this time, he said, separate committees will be formed for each of the ten teaching subjects of the National Entrance Examination. Their task is to confirm the cancellation of the examinations based on the evaluation. In the report that will be submitted to the DIC, it will be stated that all the contents of the teaching subjects have been cancelled, which will be revealed by the evaluators, that is, whether the evaluators have determined the merit list in any way.
“In the rulebook, the evaluator should make three reactions – reveal the identity by writing the name, the second measure is whether he found two texts or parts of texts, and the third measure is whether he detected electronic aids. When the evaluator has determined this, he will submit it to the committee responsible for the subject. When all the evaluators have collected their concrete evidence, this committee will produce a report, which states that all these students, i.e. the barcodes of the tests, the exams should be cancelled, because a transcript with evidence has been created. Previously this was done by the evaluators and it was just their conclusion, but now there will be a committee that will check the evidence submitted by the evaluators”, Mihajlovska explains.
The Viber group that shared the native language test when the exam begins on Saturday will also be considered. As the supervisor said, the texts from this vibrator group and any other texts they find in any vibrator group will be given to the evaluators.
“Based on what was shared in the group and other sources on the internet, the assessors can determine the records from the electronic devices. All ten committees will make decisions on each case individually,” Mihajlovska added.
She said they would suggest to MES that the new government in the future find a way to provide signal jammers for mobile phones, and would also call on test takers to pay for taking the preparatory exam, as stipulated in the new law that does not pass. Regarding secondary education. He believes that with some kind of reward/compensation, test takers will be more motivated to participate in the state of maturity.
“In this whole situation, we forgot that 2,000 people did a good job – those who organized it in schools and those who did the testing. If two or three people broke the rules, we shouldn’t undo the work of all the others,” Mihaylovska stressed.
On Saturday, high school graduates took the mandatory external mother tongue exams, with 10,088 candidates registering for Macedonian language and literature, 4,189 for Albanian language and literature and 315 for Turkish language and literature.
Next Saturday, June 8, will be the second (optional) external examination. Preliminary results of both external examinations will be published no later than July 8, i.e. 30 days after taking the last external examination.
