News from Angola – Since Tuesday, a new primary school has been built in the Boa Vista community, thanks to the initiative of the Naval Group.

The inaugural event was attended by Luanda provincial governor Manuel Holm and local representatives.

Elementary School No. 1221 has 12 classrooms and a budget of $500,000, including a library, a computer room with 10 computers, and common areas including a courtyard and restrooms.

In addition, the company also provided teaching materials such as books and notebooks to ensure the immediate operation of the school.

1221 Boa Vista Primary School can accommodate approximately 600 students per class, meeting the educational needs of children in the Boa Vista community and surrounding areas.

The decision to support the construction of this school was made in March 2023. Grupo Naval has prioritized the educational infrastructure needs of the region and aims to improve educational opportunities for children in the neighborhood.

In addition to this project, Naval Group adheres to a policy of social support for the communities in the areas surrounding the projects it is undertaking. The company has a specific annual budget for social responsibility initiatives covering areas such as education, health, professional training and sustainable development.

Naval Group plans to continue expanding its social action, aiming to build more schools and health centers, and promote projects aimed at empowering women and young people.
