Bloomberg Media and Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) have entered into a five-year content partnership, which will deliver Bloomberg’s premium business and financial news to Japanese news consumers around the world starting June 1.
The two companies will also share expertise and collaborate on new digital brand research within TBS to deliver content tailored in both Japanese and English specifically for Japanese consumers.
“Launched in 2022, TBS NEWS DIG has quickly become an indispensable news destination for Japanese audiences around the world,” said Takashi Sasaki, president and representative director of TBS Holdings and Tokyo Broadcasting System Co., Ltd. “This partnership will enhance the site’s business and financial news content and enable TBS to distribute its content globally.”
Karen Saltser, CEO of Bloomberg Media, noted that TBS NEWS DIG “reached 250 million page views per month last year, making it a fast-growing, trusted news platform among its core audience of young professionals. We look forward to bringing the best of Bloomberg’s reporting to audiences in Japan and showcasing engaging digital content from one of the world’s most important financial centers.”
