Bloody confrontation in Telavi – Two people were killed in the village of Laliskur late at night.
It turned out that the man accused of murder was from the same hometown as the victim. According to one version, the three of them were at a party together yesterday when a verbal conflict broke out between them.
According to locals, one of the deceased was the brother of a village trustee. The murder was carried out with a gun.
It is not yet clear what prompted the brutal retaliation.
A nationwide manhunt for the alleged perpetrators is underway.
The investigation is being conducted under articles 19 to 109 of the Civil Code, which deal with attempted murder with aggravated circumstances.
The case was also filed under Article 236 of the Civil Code, which deals with the illegal purchase, storage and carrying of firearms.
