Police are looking for other victims
Suspect of fraud worth 20 million soms detained in Bishkek.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the capital’s October district, a city resident contacted the police and said that she had given 20 million soms to a woman from 2021 to 2024 and promised to increase investment funds through public procurement bidding. However, she did not fulfill her promise.
Criminal proceedings were initiated under article 209 (“Fraud”) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
M.Sh., 39, and M.A., 45, were arrested on suspicion of being involved in a crime and were placed in a temporary detention facility.
It is being determined whether the detainee may have been involved in other similar crimes.
