U.S. President Joe Biden condemned “in the strongest possible terms” Russia’s “efforts to plunge the Ukrainian people into darkness” following attacks on several Ukrainian regions on Monday that mainly targeted energy facilities.
Joe Biden condemned a “barrage of missiles and drones” that targeted cities and energy infrastructure, calling it a “brutal attack that killed civilians and targeted more than two dozen critical energy sites.”
The US president also stressed that Washington “will continue to lead a coalition of more than 50 countries in support of Ukraine” and “provide” military equipment, including air defense systems and interceptors.
