The Hólar Beer Festival 2024 is now in its twelfth year and has been a huge success. Although several groups of people travel to Hólar in Hjaltadal to attend the festival and get to know the domestic beer production.
A total of 13 breweries set up promotional stands, and the quality and variety of their products were well received. Visitors were also able to taste street food prepared by locals and take part in the Kutarali event in the Bishop’s Garden. As usual, guests were able to vote for the best beer of the festival, with Sævald from the Brothers Brewery in Vestmannaeyjar taking third place, Gullregn from the Borg Brewery taking second place, and Rjómabolla from the Malbygg Brewery being named the best beer of the festival. Exhibitors were very proud to present their products, and Litla Brugghusið from Gálði won the award for the best stand.
