The Golevni were fruit growers and excellent miners, and the French were the first to mine.
The whole region rose to prominence in the second half of the last century, thanks to the Koviljača and Šumadija magnesite mines managed by Magnohrom Kraljevo. Interestingly enough, the mine in Milićevci was opened by the French during the Kingdom period, more precisely in 1929, and closed 15 years ago after the October 5th changes that led to the bankruptcy of Magnochrom.
Today, Telbusana’s approximately 5,000 residents use healthy drinking water from these mines throughout the suburban settlement.
