Bassirou Diomaye Faye visits the Sangomar platform which is producing its first barrel of oil

“This morning I visited the Sangomar platform where the first oil is being produced.

I salute the self-sacrifice and the merits of all those who believed in the existence of this resource at the bottom of the ocean and promoted the development of the Senegalese sedimentary basin. I also feel very proud after seeing the talented young Senegalese people deploy their expertise at the heart of this impressive platform.

I reiterate my commitment and that of the Government to manage our natural resources transparently and equitably for the benefit of the Senegalese people. »
