Funeral services for Barbara Eloise Butler, 43, of 35 West Main Street off Carmichael Road, will be held at Bethel Baptist Church (Meeting Street) on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 10 a.m. The Rev. Dr. Timothy Stewart will assist as associate pastor and burial will be in the church cemetery (Meeting Street).

Barbara was preceded in death by:
Father: Ronald Butler;
Mother: Muriel Monroe;
sons: Anthony Curry and Akeel McKenzie;
daughters: Mary MacKenzie and Muriel Fernande;
brothers: Vernal Butler and Rudolph Butler;
special friend: Steve McKenzie;

The light of this “gem opal” will always shine in her heart:
two daughters: Theresa Bonaby (Wilfred) and Natasha Johnson;
seven grandchildren: Claudel I and Samuel Johnson, Antheon I (Kim) and Alexis Burnaby (Marisol), George II and Jonathan Fox and Sebrick Bethel;
eight granddaughters: Nyosha and Anthastasia Bonaby, Shonika (Jamall) and Rosita McKenzie, Georgina Sturrup (Shannon), Shantell Fawkes, Joyclyn and Julie-Ann Johnson;
thirteen great-grandchildren: Claudel and Cordero Johnson, Jr., Antheon and Amarion Burnaby, Jr., Nathan and George Fox III, LaVaughn, Jarvis and Nicholas McKenzie, Crispin, Christine and Christopher Cooper and Rodney Curry;
thirteen great-grandchildren: Ashley and Ariah Bonaby, Jasmine, Yasmine and Shervinique Brennen, Shelina, Tania and Georgina Fawkes, Christina Cooper, Tornasia Sands, Nickayla and Petar-gaye Rodney and Gabrielle Smith;
two great-grandchildren: Hakeem Bonaby and D’Antae Cartwright;
a nephew: David (Becky) Butler;
five nieces: Daphne Evans, Ingrid Kerkula (Frances) and Valerie McKenzie (Patrick), Shirley Smith and Sandra Darling of Freeport, Grand Bahama;
nine great-nephews, Damian and Dorian McKenzie, Desmond (Shakeira) and Dexter Kerkulah, Emmerson and Marvin, David Jr., Valinco and Elvis;
four great-nieces and nieces: De’Nia McKenzie, Nishka, Agatha and Yvette;
