Bank of China President Liu Zhijun resigns, chairman to act as president

Bank of China The bank announced that Vice Chairman and President Liu Jin resigned for personal reasons, effective Sunday.

The state-owned bank said in a statement that its board of directors had approved Chairman Ge Haijiao as acting president.

Liu Zhijun, 57, has held senior positions at several large banks, including Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBCA.UL) and China Development Bank. He was previously president of China Everbright Bank before joining Bank of China in 2021 as vice chairman and president.
