Aya Group of Companies has been recognized several times by the Uganda Investment Authority’s Investor of the Year Award for its project implementation and contribution to Uganda’s economic development.

Pan Afric Commodities Limited is the “parent” company of the Aya Group and the first milling company in Uganda to import and install world-class Ocrim wheat mills to produce the finest quality wheat flour for the East and Central African markets. Pan Afric’s “Aya” brand is the preferred choice of bakers, biscuit manufacturers and caterers producing Indian chapatis and other starchy products. Aya flour is exported to South Sudan, Northern Tanzania, Rwanda and Eastern Congo. Pan Afric has three complete mills, one of which is the only mill in Uganda capable of producing stone-ground whole wheat flour, the essential ingredient in Eastern cuisine, “atta”.
Pan Afric’s milling operations produce by-products of bran and wheat grains, which are used as highly nutritious ingredients by animal feed producers in Uganda and Kenya.
Aiya Investment Co., Ltd.
Aya Investments Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aya Group, is committed to developing the Hilton Kampala on a prime 14-acre site atop Nakasero Hill in Kampala.
Hilton Kampala is Uganda’s first purpose-built five-star hotel and the country’s largest and tallest building. With 320 rooms and suites, conference facilities and world-class restaurants, the hotel will offer a new standard of comfort for business and holiday travelers. The hotel will be managed by Hilton International, the world’s leading hotel management company. With a total value of more than US$220 million, the project is the largest single investment in Uganda’s hotel industry ever.
A key component of the project is the recruitment and training of young people with professional qualifications. The project will also provide an important new market for Uganda’s hospitality industry suppliers. The opening of the Hilton Kampala is expected to significantly increase Uganda’s conference, business and leisure tourism revenue.
Yaya Bakery Co., Ltd.
Aya Bakery is the largest commercial bakery in Uganda, with a full vertically integrated preparation, mixing, forming, proofing, baking, slicing and packaging line capable of producing 15 tonnes of bakery products per day. The company produces bread, cakes, donuts, buns and confectionery, which it sells wholesale to supermarkets and trade distributors.

FIFEI TRANSPORT LIMITED
Fifi Transport Limited is a large commercial road transport company with a fleet of Mercedes Benz trucks and trailers that ply the Northern Corridor supplying supermarkets, wholesale distribution trade and retail outlets in Uganda, Northern and Southern Tanzania and Eastern Congo. The company has a network of regional distributors that collect bulk orders from their stores for distribution to many outlets in the COMESA region.
