ST. KITTS AND NEVIS (WINN) – An autopsy conducted on August 16, 2024, confirmed that Daurren Randy Williams, 43, of Cradock Road, Nevis, died from multiple gunshot wounds.
The examination, performed by Dr. Adrian Nunez and Dr. Nadica Philip, resident pathologists at the Alexandria Hospital mortuary, determined the cause of death to be hypovolemic shock, hemopericardium and hemothorax.
Hypovolemic shock, a condition caused by massive blood loss, was determined to be the primary factor in Williams’ death.
Hemopericardium (accumulation of blood in the sac surrounding the heart) and hemopleural effusion (accumulation of blood between the lungs and chest wall) are also contributing factors.
The injuries were caused by multiple gunshot wounds.
The incident occurred on the evening of August 10, 2024, at approximately 7:25 p.m., when police received reports of a shooting in the Cradock Road area.
Officers with the Charleston Police Department arrived on scene and found Williams lying in the back seat of a vehicle with gunshot wounds.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Williams was outside of the residence when he was approached by a masked man who shot him several times before fleeing the scene.
Despite attempts by bystanders to rush Williams to a hospital, he was pronounced dead at the scene by the district medical officer.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is still ongoing.
