She recalled that earlier, Kazakh President Tokayev learned about the progress of preparations for the 5th World Nomad Games and visited the Astana Arena Stadium, where the opening ceremony of the international competition will be held.
“The main matches will be held at the Astana Arena, Kazhanat Arena, Aarau Ice Palace, Ushkenpirov Martial Arts Palace and Duman Hotel and Sports Center. In addition, a special platform has been created for the matches between Jamby atu and Tene il,” the diplomat said.
According to her, mass cultural events will also be organized. On the territory of the ethno-village there is a museum of nomadic civilization, a city of craftsmen and a sculpture exhibition hall. The National Museum will host the international scientific and practical conference “Nomads: History, Knowledge, Lessons”.
“The competition will be held in 21 events. For athletes involved in national sports, participating in the Nomadic Games is undoubtedly a great honor. These are horse racing, national wrestling, including. Kazakh kuresi, traditional intellectual games “Togyzkumalak”, “Mangala”, “Ovari”, martial arts competitions, national bird hunting “Kusbegilik”, horse racing competitions, folk games “Asyk atu”, “Mas-wrestling”, sadak atu, etc. will compete for 97 sets of medals.” Gulmila Sudanali listed the types of planned competitions.
Ethnoaul is a unique concert venue built specifically for the Games, where cultural events will be held every day: an exhibition of Kazakh craftsmen, Aitys akyn competitions, a national food festival and masterclasses. Next, Askhat Akibaev, head of the World Nomad Games project and the World Federation of Ethnogames project, gave a report titled “World Nomad Games: historical and cultural wealth of Central Asian countries, impact on the economy and image of the country.” He talked about the formation of the World Olympic Games, Kyrgyzstan’s historical contribution to the organization and development of the Olympic Games, and the positive impact of sports competitions on the country’s image.
The program continued with the report of Samat Toktonaliev, Deputy Director of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of MKISME KR, “Participation of Kyrgyzstan in the 5th World Nomad Games in Kazakhstan.” He presented Kyrgyzstan’s preparations for participation in the upcoming Olympic Games, the promotion of national competitions in Kyrgyzstan, and the situation of the participants.

“The growth is obvious, the interest in the World Nomad Games is very high. In 2014-2015, during the most difficult period after the revolution, Kyrgyzstan could only be considered a country in constant revolution, but in 2014, the Nomad Games were held and something creative began to happen in our country. “There are a lot of questions about why the Victoria Centre goes to other countries. I see a lot of positives in this, we can’t just grow in one place, in our own country. The fact that WNG is held in other countries creates better opportunities and will provide good content for WNG,” he stressed.
Kubatov talked about the Paris Olympics, noting that the incident with the Uzbek coach made everyone happy. “The Olympics is a platform for the unity of the Central Asian countries, and fans from each country wore the flags of the three countries. They said that the Central Asian Olympic Village is like a common home, everyone is invited, no one is hungry, and there is the strongest support.
