There are still some unresolved issues in the process of regulating Armenian-Azerbaijani relations. According to Azerbaijani media reports, the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan, Farhad Abdullayev, mentioned this in an article marking the 26th anniversary of the establishment of the court.
“Regarding an important point related to the Armenian Constitution, our head of state quite rightly stressed that as long as the current Armenian Constitution remains unchanged, it is impossible to conclude a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” Abdullayev said.
It is worth reminding that the Azerbaijani political elite has long demanded changes to the Armenian Constitution, calling it one of the obstacles to a peace treaty.
On July 5, Constitution Day of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan said in his speech that Armenia needs a new constitution.
