Armand Duplantis succeeded again, breaking the pole vault record for the ninth time with an amazing score of 6.25 meters and has already secured his second Olympic gold medal.
The 24-year-old Swede, better known as Mondo, mesmerized the Stade de France crowd after the track and field event ended with Keely Hodgkinson winning the 800m gold medal. He waited for her to speed past him and then set about adding another centimeter to his own record.
After two failed attempts, Duplantis’ shot went over the crossbar.
