Arkansas woman Brooke Danielle Teague’s arrest for DUI by Officer Nathan Smith goes viral

Brooke Teague, an Arkansas woman, was Bentonville Officer Nathan Smith was caught by police for driving under the influence.

The video went viral for the interaction between Bentonville Police Department officers Nathan Smith and Brooke Teague.

Both were very friendly and welcoming throughout the encounter, and Brooke’s charming demeanor certainly made the officer laugh several times.

However, after failing a field sobriety test, she was arrested and booked for driving under the influence.

Brooke Teague arrested for DUI in Bentonville

According to Officer Nathan Smith, the incident occurred around midnight on January 15, 2023, in the 2200 block of SE Walton Avenue.

When he and his partner spotted a black SUV heading west, they noticed the driver-side tire crossed the yellow line multiple times, indicating a shaky hand behind the wheel, so they stopped the vehicle.

Upon seeing this, Officer Smith began to conduct vehicle stops and met with Brooke Danielle Teague of Arkansas.

Officer Smith said in his report that he noticed her eyes were “bloodshot and watery,” her speech was slurred and there was an odor of alcohol in the car. Upon questioning, Brooke said she had only had one Mille Lite.

Smith initiated a field sobriety test, which Teague failed. She was subsequently arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

This simple traffic stop became an Internet legend because of the affable behavior of the two suspects. The above video was shared on YouTube by Real World Police and has been viewed nearly 4 million times.
