I hope Qatar will announce a new strategic partnership with Qatar Airways and Cisco, which aims to develop innovative applications by implementing a modern hybrid cloud environment to help improve the experience of Qatar Airways customers and increase its operational efficiency.
Arid said the collaboration will help support the digital transformation of the aviation sector and pave the way for the development of innovative applications.
Mr. Thani Ali Al Malki, Head of Corporate Services at Arad, said: “By working together with Qatar Airways and Cisco, we are committed to innovation and ensuring Qatar remains at the forefront of digital transformation.”
Al-Maliki added, “This collaboration confirms our belief in the power of hybrid cloud to achieve new achievements in the process of excellence in various fields, especially in aviation. This project highlights our shared vision with the airline to chart a path of continuous innovation and create countless opportunities, which provides an excellent customer experience and a brighter future for Qatar’s digital infrastructure.”
For his part, A. T. Srinivasan, Chief Information Technology Officer, Qatar Airways, said: “Embracing digital transformation will drive innovation and deliver exceptional customer service. We will leverage Arid’s expertise and Cisco solutions to power the network fabric of our hybrid cloud environment and support the future growth of our business.”
Hassan Khan, General Manager of Cisco Qatar, said: “We are delighted to be working with Ored and Qatar Airways on this project, which represents a milestone for the aviation industry and embodies a progressive approach to digital transformation that drives innovation and delivers a superior customer experience. Cisco’s global experience and presence in the local market enables us to meet the airline’s strategic priorities.
The Arad network is a key focus of this collaboration as it provides a solid foundation for integrating Cisco’s innovative network, security and cloud technologies to modernize Qatar Airways’ IT infrastructure.
As an integration and managed services partner of Cisco, Arad will work with Qatar Airways to migrate its data centers to the cloud and design a custom hybrid cloud environment to help improve operational efficiency, scalability and flexibility.
Several innovative Cisco solutions will be integrated into Qatar Airways’ digital infrastructure project, including the multi-site Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), which will be integrated with the Nexus solution suite to enable application assurance and operational visibility across the carrier’s data centers. All Cisco data center solutions are automated and implemented as code in the Cisco infrastructure.
SD-WAN solutions enable the transformation of cloud connectivity and will help provide seamless and secure connectivity from all branch and data center locations to public and private clouds.
The initiative aims to enhance Qatar Airways’ operational capabilities and innovate new approaches to the digital transformation of the global aviation system. By supporting such technological developments, Arid reaffirms its commitment to strengthening Qatar’s position as a center of technological excellence.
