Wizz Air Hungary and other airlines experienced system outages due to a global IT outage. Airlines warned passengers to report to the airport at least three hours before their flight.

Like all airlines today, Wizz Air is facing significant technical challenges due to a global IT systems outage. “Wizz Air users may experience issues when using the airline’s website and mobile app services,” the airline’s statement read.

Currently, the Wizz Air website and mobile app, reservation system, online check-in and boarding pass system, and communication center are all out of operation.

Check-in at the airport is free of charge during the suspension period. Therefore, we recommend that passengers arrive at the airport at least three hours before departure to allow enough time for check-in, security screening and airport formalities,” the airline’s statement read.

Due to the global chaos, the flight from Kutaisi to Berlin could not be received by Berlin Airport and therefore landed in Poznan.

Flights in several countries were canceled due to a global IT system outage. Leading global airlines American Airlines, Delta Airlines, United Airlines, Lufthansa, etc. experienced operational disruptions due to a global software failure. Airports also experienced delays – passengers could not be checked.
