Obituary
Aquilina. On 7 June, John, 79, of Sliema, passed away peacefully to meet the Risen Christ, surrounded by his loving family and comforted by the liturgy of the Holy Church. His passing was mourned by his nieces Sharon and her husband Andrew Vera, Josette and her husband Mark Grech, Martse and her husband Godwin Borg, nephews John Mifsud and his wife Genevieve, Patrick Mifsud and his wife Mary, Brian Mifsud and his wife Rosalind, his cherished great-nieces Angela and Elena, other nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. On Monday 10 June, the funeral cortege left Simblija Care Home and travelled to Stella Maris Parish Church in Sliema where a Mass was celebrated. In front of the corpse The funeral will take place at 2pm and will be held afterwards at Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Flowers are not accepted but donations to the Malta Hospice would be greatly appreciated. God, please grant him eternal rest. His family would like to thank the Malta Hospice and Simblija Nursing Home for their care and dedication.
MizBRIAN ALEX, 49, passed away peacefully in a ceremony at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on June 2. He is deeply loved and missed by his mother Rita, widow of Elias, his sister Doreen and her partner Joe, his brother Robert, uncles and aunts, cousins, relatives, friends, colleagues, students and all who knew his gentle and loving soul. A celebration of Brian Alex’s life will be held at the Parish Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Fleur-de-Lys on Monday, June 10, with a Mass. The current corpse The funeral will be held at 8:30am with burial to follow in the family plot at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. As this is a celebration of Brian Alex’s life, the family wishes to not dress in black. No flowers please, but please make donations to Puttinu Cares. God bless him and rest in peace.
