The medical staff of the Uwea Ulupu Health Center went on strike this Wednesday morning. All condemned the attack that took place at the residence of a doctor during the night of Monday to Tuesday. In support, the Provincial Directorate of Community Action and Social Action decided to close the two pharmacies on the island on Thursday and Friday.
The Ouloup pharmacy will remain closed tomorrow, Thursday, July 18 and Friday, July 19. The decision was taken by the provincial Directorate of Community Action and Social Action (Dacas) after a doctor was attacked at his residence between Monday and Tuesday night. The same applies to the Saint-Joseph pharmacy in the north of the island.

On Wednesday, both medical centers maintained normal activities before closing for two days. “We initially wanted to close for three days, but we are sensitive to the current situation.
