Christian Ntsay was appointed Prime Minister on July 12, and nearly three weeks later, the government has yet to be formed. Andry Rajoelina, who was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games last Friday, continues his trip abroad, starting today with state visits to Guinea-Bissau and Angola.

Cooperation agreements should be signed with both African countries. During these visits, the Head of State will be accompanied by the Minister of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Monja Sahivelo Lara Delfin, and the Special Adviser to the President of the Republic for International Affairs, Patrick Rajoelina.

The formation of a new government will therefore await the return of Andry Rajoelina to the country. Calling voters to participate in municipal elections is one of the urgent tasks of the new government. If the vote was scheduled for November 6, it should have taken place before August 6, but the National Independent Electoral Commission (CENI) has recommended postponing the December 11 vote.
