An 18-year-old American woman fell into a coma and nearly died after vaping.

Maddie Nelson, an 18-year-old girl from the United States, almost died from vaping for three years. In order to save her life, doctors had to put the girl into a medically induced coma.

According to The Sun, Maddie’s health was deteriorating, but she did not link it to her bad habits. She wrote that it all started with constant nausea, then the girl experienced severe pain in her back and kidneys, and her body temperature rose sharply. Life.

When the girl was unable to breathe on her own, she was rushed to the intensive care unit. Then, as Maddie’s condition went from serious to potentially fatal, doctors decided to put her into an induced coma to buy time for treatment.

An X-ray showed that the girl’s lungs were severely damaged and she was diagnosed with acute eosinophilic pneumonia. It turns out that the fluid accumulated in the lungs becomes an “ideal environment for bacterial growth and infection to occur.” According to doctors, it was because of vaping that the water content in the girl’s lungs increased.

Maddie has now emerged from her coma. She can breathe, eat and feel fine, but doctors are unsure whether she will fully recover.
