Senegalese defender Aliou Souane is preparing for a new adventure. After contributing to the team’s defensive stability and being named Defensive Player of the Season at ASC Jaraaf in Dakar, Souane will join defending champions APR FC in Rwanda on a two-year contract.
After training under AF Darou Salam, Souané rose through the ranks and became one of the strong men of Medina coach Malick Daf. Although he has been rumored to be on the side of Sudanese Al Hilal Omdurman, Aliou Souané will eventually turn to Rwanda. APR FC has reached an agreement with the Senegalese camp. Aliou Souané has arrived in Kigali and has successfully passed the medical examination. The transfer is worth 39,340,000 FCFA (60,000 euros) and marks a new stage in his career. In addition to this, the Senegalese defender will receive a monthly salary of 3,280,000 FCFA (5,000 euros) with a signing bonus of 13,120,000 FCFA (20,000 euros).
Although this investment blow is significant for APR FC, Souané’s departure leaves ASC Jaraaf with a difficult void to fill as a prelude to next season. The Medina club must find a replacement who can maintain the defensive rigor of last season.
