The president of the Algerian Olympic Committee has blamed the “Zionist lobby” for the ongoing controversy surrounding Algeria’s Olympic boxers’ failure to pass the International Boxing Association’s gender test.

The organization went on to note that Lin Yuting did not appeal the disqualification decision, “so the decision is legally binding.” While Khalif did appeal, the case was dropped before judgment, making the decision “legally binding.”
“Our committee has rigorously reviewed and approved the decisions made during the World Championships. While the IBA remains committed to ensuring fair competition at all events, we are concerned about the inconsistent application of qualification criteria by other sports organizations, including the Olympic Games oversight body. The differing rules on these issues by the IOC, in which the IBA has no involvement, raise serious questions about the fairness of competition and the safety of athletes,” the IBA wrote.
The International Olympic Committee said that because Taiwanese boxers Lin Yu-ting and Khalif both claimed to be women on their passports, the IOC only needed to allow them to compete in women’s events.
