Two years ago, the frequency of power outages in Lebanon increased significantly; due to the country’s financial difficulties and inability to provide foreign exchange to import fuel, Lebanon’s power generation was between 1,600 and 2,000 megawatts per day, but in recent years fuel shortages have gradually reduced production to unprecedented low levels.
