Last weekend, Active Arranmore held its second successful ‘Roar on the Seaside’ event.
Held at the Amphitheatre at Leab Garrow Beach, this vibrant community celebration is free to attend and suitable for all ages.
Vibrant Arranmore is an initiative by Donegal Local Development Corporation (DLDC) to improve the health and wellbeing of Arranmore residents, while empowering individuals and community groups to thrive. The campaign showcases the various activities and initiatives that have flourished on the island since 2023, thanks to the Empowering Communities Fund.

This year’s Roaring by the Sea festival offered exciting activities and entertainment for all ages. Participants could relax and rejuvenate with a soothing chair yoga class led by experienced instructor Marie Ward. Or they could get their groove on with an energetic Zumba class with Vlad. Attendees also enjoyed delicious grilled food in the barbecue area, provided by Comharchumann Forbartha and Fostaíochta on Árainn Mhór (CFFAM).
