Starting next fall, students in the North will be invited to take evening arts classes. Until now, evening arts classes have only been offered in the capital region.
Seniors can realize ancient dreams
The course is divided into two semesters and is designed for students who have completed a foundation degree in a field other than artistic studies or have a similar foundation. Its aim is to prepare students for further study at university level, in which the visual arts will be in the foreground.
Borghildur Ína Sölvadóttir, an art teacher at the school, said there was nothing to stop seniors from fulfilling their dreams and taking art classes that could be attended outside of normal working hours.
