Sergio Akiemboto, deputy chairman of the New Democracy Party, said that unity and nation-building are very important for Suriname to reach greater heights. In addition, he believes that when voters vote for a party without any administrative experience, it is a loss of votes.
He believes that these parties should join experienced parties so that they can work for the development of the country from there.
“No one group can develop this country alone. No. Because one composition fu a kondre de so kba. Unity and nation building are important. We still have a lot of work to do,” Akinboto said at a meeting on Saturday night to present the structure of Wanika to the NPP government.
The former minister once again reminded his party colleagues not to think that things will be easy if the NDP comes to power after 2025.
Akinboto believes it is a shame that many young people have lost faith in politics. He believes it is a task for his party members to convince these people to vote again. In order to achieve this, a message of hope, trust and vision must be conveyed. Akinboto believes it is important to govern the country correctly and elect the right leaders.
“Relax now, because Bruya Foru. So much of the fabric of this country is broken. We have to do this because if we sit and wait for others to do it for us, it will never happen. We ourselves are responsible for this country. We have to make sure we work for the next generation.
Mi nanga yu abi wan verantwortu. Unu musu tyari a kondre ini wan tra fasi, good governance. Transparency, fighting corruption and really making sure that the money in this country is for the benefit of its citizens,” the NDP member said.
