Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, the world’s largest artificial BroadCast Unitedligence (AI) chip manufacturer, said the group plans to launch a new generation of AI chip platform in 2026.
Huang Renxun said at an event in Taiwan that the company has named the new platform Rubin, which includes the latest version of the image processor (GPU) and network chip, and the new CPU is named Versa. The platform’s memory chip uses the new generation of high-bandwidth chips from South Korea’s SK Hynix, Micron and Samsung. He did not elaborate on other details.
Huang also pointed out that Nvidia hopes to launch new AI chips every year, rather than every two years as in the past.
