OpenAI said that its AI chatbot ChatGPT is currently used by more than 200 million people each week, doubling the 100 million figure announced in November last year.
OpenAI spokesperson Taya Christianson confirmed the figures to the US media, saying that about 92% of Fortune 500 companies currently use the group’s products, and its usage rate has doubled after the launch of the cheaper and smarter GPT-4o Mini.
ChatGPT was launched at the end of 2022, and Google, Microsoft and Meta also launched artificial intelligence chat interfaces. According to another media report, Meta’s AI assistant has at least 400 million monthly active users and 40 million daily active users.
