At the end of the month, specifically on June 30, Egyptians celebrated the anniversary of the revolution that returned Egypt to the hands of the Egyptians, a revolution that became the spark for the development of the entire republic, during which Cairo vigorously carried out infrastructure projects, energy, services and roads, and laid the foundations and rules for the new republic.
Every time I visit, officially or unofficially, to one of the new cities of Egypt’s Fourth Mountain, I look forward to learning the opinions of guests from abroad, especially because their testimonies represent for us Egyptians real opinions and perspectives and intact testimonies, and I find that, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, we are on the right path.
Because we, the New Cities, believe in the importance of new initiatives and the importance of providing them with guidance to ensure their success, the New Cities Community Administration has taken many such initiatives that have contributed greatly to changing the lives of Egyptians. The New Cities, most notably the “Egypt Street” initiative, aims to provide jobs for young people and add new parks and places of different nature to make the new cities attractive to Egyptians. It was the pioneer city of this initiative and the pioneer, and the subsequent experiments of other new cities have also been successful.
In Shoruk Municipality, we are not content with just giving this initiative as a gift to the new city, but we are also eager to take another new initiative to establish charity markets and outlets by working with civil society and investors, as this initiative aims to eliminate street vendors and make them sell vegetables, fruits, fish and other products in an organized manner at prices much lower than the commercial market prices and to monitor these sales points carefully and continuously.
Al-Khair Outlet has become a unique landmark in the city of Shorouk, which has implemented this respectable initiative before all other cities, as the project has successfully provided employment opportunities and has received very, very much recognition from the residents of the city and surrounding cities. For city residents who have no income, in addition to the allocation of 5% of benefits for people of determination, in accordance with the instructions of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
Because we in the new cities believe in the importance of new initiatives, the initiative to build sports trails and bicycle paths is at the forefront of the initiatives taken by the New City Community Administration, being at the forefront of major projects to improve the urban environment. Providing services to citizens, especially services that change the style, behavior and habits of urban pioneers to take care of their health, because the city of Shoruk is at the forefront of new cities that have taken the initiative to build gymnasiums. In parks and public gardens, along sports trails and bicycle paths, until the system is completed, this city and other new cities follow the same approach and go on the same path until it becomes a worthy attraction for Egyptians in the new republic.
