Ghanaian actress Selly Galley-Fiawoo recently spoke about the challenges she and husband Praye Tietia faced in becoming parents at the baptism celebrations of her twins on Saturday, August 31.
The actress expressed deep gratitude to God for blessing them with twins after a long struggle of nine years to conceive after their marriage.
Reflecting on their love story, Seli shared how they were ridiculed on social media for not being able to start a family.
“I cried a lot in the last year, but it’s all thanks to God. About 16 years ago, this man met me and his life changed forever. I was the most special thing in his life. But here we are, so in love, so happy, but we are missing something so special”
She continued, “The bond we have now makes us and our love complete. It has been a tough nine years, but God has not shamed us. I have been mocked several times on social media; the comments are hard to ignore. But here we are, blessed with twins,” she shared.
Seli also revealed that she had been pregnant during those nine years, but unfortunately lost the baby. “I did get pregnant, but God said it wasn’t the right time. We cried, but God assured us that greater things were ahead. Now, here we are celebrating a double blessing – a boy and a girl.”
Her testimony was a powerful reminder of faith and perseverance in the face of trials, and the couple are now happily married parents.
