Afghanistan’s Ministry of Industry and Trade announced that it will facilitate traders to ship the country’s agricultural products and fresh fruits to Russia.
Akhundzada Abdul Salam Javad, spokesman for the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said that Acting Minister of Industry and Trade Noureddine Aziz stressed the standardized packaging and processing of agricultural products, especially fresh fruits, during a meeting with the Acting Minister of Labor and Social Affairs and some Afghan and Uzbek businessmen.

The spokesperson added: "The meeting discussed issues of standard packaging and processing of Afghan agricultural products, especially fruits, their transportation and marketing in the Russian Federation market."according to the channel "Tolo Harbour News" Afghan TV on Wednesday.

The Chamber of Commerce and Investment said the Russian market is important for selling Afghan agricultural products, but pointed out that transportation issues are a fundamental challenge in exporting agricultural products and fresh fruits to Russia.
