Advantages of unified electronic car rental contracts

The Public Transport Authority said car rental companies have no right to pledge the official documents of beneficiaries in order to rent a car.

Transport Authority spokesman Saleh Al-Zwaid explained that car rental companies are obliged to provide services to all beneficiaries without discrimination, as long as the beneficiary provides three main conditions, firstly that he has a valid ID, a valid driver’s license, and finally that the insurance conditions apply to the beneficiary.”

Al-Zwaid added: “If these requirements are met, car rental companies are obliged to provide services regardless of age, over thirty or under, male or female.”

The Transport Authority also stressed the need to ensure and understand the obligations of customers before renting a car. She explained that everyone who wants to rent a car must know the obligations they must comply with before signing the unified electronic car rental contract.

She said the following steps need to be followed:

– Verify contract information, including duration and value, before signing.

– Return the vehicle on the date and time specified in the contract, paying attention to the fuel level.

– Inform the lessor of any technical faults that may occur with the vehicle.
