Constantine, who qualified for next season’s CAF Confederation Cup, have just parted ways with head coach Abdelkader Amrani.
The player who won the championship with CSC in 2018, finished third this season and was eliminated in extra time against Mouloudia Algiers in the semi-finals of the cup.
He arrived at the club last October after a mixed start to the season that saw the team eliminated from the Champions League from the outset and raised the bar for Sanafir, who finished second in the league until the last day.
CSC management denied ever wanting Amrani to leave. Club president Abdelghani Gourari even confirmed that confidence had been restored in the coach, but that he did not want to continue.
Amrani, for his part, explained that he could not continue to retain players that he had asked to be released but that the club retained.
