Abbas cancels visit to Saudi Arabia after Israeli aggression in West Bank

Hashd Net – Organization

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas decided to cut short his visit to Saudi Arabia and return to his homeland today, Wednesday, to follow the latest developments in the Israeli aggression in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

According to the Palestinian Wafa News Agency, the Israeli occupation forces have launched a large-scale aggression against Jenin, Tubas and Tulkarm, which has so far left nine Palestinians dead, 11 injured and caused serious damage to infrastructure.

Helicopters, drones and large numbers of military vehicles equipped with bulldozers are involved in the ongoing aggression in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

The occupying forces besieged the cities of Jenin, Tubas and Tulkarm and deliberately obstructed the work of rescue teams, preventing them from reaching their target locations to treat the wounded.

In this context, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said on Wednesday that it is engaging with various international institutions to determine their commitments towards the ongoing occupation aggression in Gaza, the West Bank and its camps.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on all ambassadors, embassies and missions of the State of Palestine to step up their efforts to expose the violations of the occupation forces in the host country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, decision-making centers and public opinion, as well as in international organizations, in order to mobilize the broadest international pressure to stop the aggression, genocide and displacement, according to the Palestinian news agency “Wafa”.

We call on the international community to intervene immediately and effectively to force the Israeli government to stop its aggression, and we call on the International Committee of the Red Cross and relevant UN agencies and councils to assume their responsibilities and play their roles to protect the Israeli and Palestinian people and their civil lives.
