FREEPORT | The Bahamas News Agency has learned that a second man who was hospitalized with injuries following the shooting on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, died this morning (Saturday, August 10, 2024) from his injuries.

The suspect was released on bail and had his leg irons cut off before police could track him down.
The first victim to die was Anton Swain, 56, who worked as a security guard at the club.
Meanwhile, New Providence police confirmed that a man was shot and killed at the South Beach Pool Community around 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The man was in the area with another man before the gunfire rang out. He was found lifeless and died at the scene. Police do not know if the victim knew him.
The number of homicides has now risen to 79.
