A motorcycle rollover case occurred in the Gegharkunik district yesterday, July 13. At around 9:40 p.m., Argam M., a 38-year-old resident of the Kotayk district, overturned his Benelli motorcycle on the highway from Gagaran settlement to Geghamavan settlement under unknown circumstances.
As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the motorcyclist was injured in the robbery and was taken to the “Sevan” medical center.
The patrol of the 1st company of the Gegharkunik marz battalion of the RA Internal Affairs Police Patrol, led by battalion commander Albert Martirosyan and battalion service inspector Hrachya Gevorgyan, quickly rushed to the scene of the incident.
Sevan police chief Surik Janikyan and deputy director of operations Karen Avetisyan also arrived.
Information about the incident was transferred from the Sevan department of the RA Investigation Committee to the Sevan Investigation Department of the Gegharkunik Marz Investigation Department, from where an investigation team headed by the department head Torgom Chandoyan and the duty investigator in charge of the investigation arrived on that day.
Following the incident, the Sevan Investigation Department initiated criminal proceedings.
