A teenager committed a total of 57 crimes in the Zadar region, namely property crimes, mainly aggravated theft and burglary, as well as crimes against life and limb and crimes in the field of general security.
According to reports listed by Večernji, almost all property crimes have occurred in Vir since the beginning of this year, most of them in April, June and July, harming the interests of most Croatian citizens, while the targets of the attacks were houses, villas, shops, cars, boats, motorbikes, bicycles, motorcycles, money and other valuables.
The case involves a Croatian minor citizen who, during the period in question, committed 30 thefts and 24 aggravated thefts with the intention of obtaining undue property benefits, causing material damage to the owners, estimated at more than EUR 65,000. He committed some of the property-related crimes in the company of other minors and children.
Furthermore, it is suspected that in January he broke into a house owned by a Croatian citizen and then deliberately set it on fire, causing material damage of more than 150,000 euros.
He is also suspected of physically assaulting and slightly injuring a 19-year-old Croatian citizen in Vir on the night of August 5, attempting to commit the criminal offence of serious bodily injury, and of committing the criminal offence of serious bodily injury on August 8. During the night, he also physically assaulted another minor, causing him minor injuries. After the investigation, the juvenile suspect was handed over to the supervisory supervisor of the Zadar Police Department, and a criminal complaint was filed with the competent State Prosecutor’s Office.
