West Africa includes the countries of Senegal, Mauritania, Gambia, Mali, Guinea and Nigeria. The region is a geographical and cultural transition zone, covering an area of about 6.38 million square kilometers, accounting for one-fifth of Africa’s total area. The Forum on China-Africa Cooperation is a collective dialogue mechanism between China and African countries, aiming to promote equality, mutual benefit, understanding, strengthen friendship, expand consensus and promote cooperation. The members of the forum include China, 53 African countries that have established diplomatic relations with China and the African Union Commission.
