Nassau | Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an attempted suicide of an adult female that occurred on Thursday, August 15, 2024.
Initial reports indicate police were called around 9:30 a.m. to a report of a 35-year-old woman taking a large amount of over-the-counter medication in her car at a beach on West Bay Street near Skyline Boulevard.
A family member later found her and took her to hospital in a private vehicle for further medical treatment and evaluation.
Failed suicide attempts are a criminal offence. Police are investigating.
