Engineer Tariq Al-Shamrani, CEO of the institute, explained that the institute is one of the strategic partner institutes of the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training in cooperation with the leading company in the energy and water sector “ACWA Power” and added that under this partnership, the institute will continue to achieve the goals it is working towards in terms of quality and quantity, maximizing the qualifications and training required for male and female citizens, contributing to the achievement of sustainable development in various industrial sectors.
He pointed out that the academy has a complementary relationship with technical training institutions, ACWA Power, and the Human Resources Development Fund, and has established a strategic partnership under the supervision of the National Strategic Cooperation Center. This partnership affirms the academy’s position. The vision of training and cultivating national talent cadres in technical and professional fields in accordance with the requirements of the “Vision 2030”. The aim is to attract the best and outstanding graduates, thereby achieving the “localization” of work.
It is worth noting that the Rabaa Higher Institute of Hydropower Technology is currently working to train about 750 male and female students to meet the needs of large companies in the region for local workers in the following professional fields: mechanical maintenance technology, electrical maintenance technology, welding technology, occupational health and safety, operating process technology, renewable energy technology, measurement and control technology, seawater desalination technology using reverse osmosis technology, diesel engine operation technology, and wastewater treatment technology.
